The Embrace of God

Abba, thank You for being safe shelter for our hearts and minds. Thank You that You don't set limits or parameters on who may come, but the invitation is simply, "Come to Me ALL who are weary and heavy laden." That is the first step towards truth and compassionate comfort.
Your promise is to give rest. In my imagination, I picture coming to You simply saying, "Papa" and You pull me onto Your lap and hold me closely.
In Your embrace, so much uncertainty melts away. And rest comes. Strength and clarity follow. As I whisper my questions and concerns, You share Your heart, Your counsel, a next step with me. It is slow, measured and clear, but not always easy.
In Your embrace I can breathe again. I can release tears and whispers of repentance. I can reveal the fears that paralyze me. You show me the deceptions hiding in each one. As You speak love and truth, brokenness is healed.
As You set me on my feet once again, Your smile and the light in Your eyes is glorious. You tell me, "Remember, you can come to Me "whenever"... I AM, and I love you.
